Gite Salamandre

😊: Very good and friendly comms from the proprietor throughout booking process. Beautifully presented modern gite with all of the facilities you need Stand out for me was the garden and its beautiful trees and river. There was also a lovely seating area outside with pretty lighting. We saw a family of deer whilst sitting here.. incredible moment. Cannot speak highly enough about this place, we only wished we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back.. 😢: Nothing, but check directions as sat nav took us to a different village about 15 minutes away with a street with exactly the same name..

😊: It was very pretty and quaint, modern and homely. It was silent at night, which really helped us sleep. A lovely place!. 😢: The bed was very firm. I had to sleep on top of a spare duvet. It was great but the hand soap in the bathroom ran out straight away. The house is very dark, so if you arrive after dark, it's hard to see the path without a torch. I thought some solar garden lights would be ideal for this. Stairs were fine but might be tricky if you have limited mobility..

😊: Perfect place to stop off after a long journey. Very well designed space with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Welcoming and helpful hosts.. 😢: Very steep stairs would be difficult for some..
