GITE "THE POT OF WINE" in the heart of Beaujolais

Wonderful place. Nice area outside and very cozy feel inside

The property was lovely and as shown on the website. The village is in a great location to visit this region and we took advantage of this by visiting lots of other villages, towns and vineyards. We also went to Annecy which is within 2 hours drive. Would recommend to those wanting a relaxing time in a quiet location. Patricia was the perfect host.

The charm of the “Gite Pot of Wine is matched by the charm of its warm, friendly generous owner Patricia Grolet. The cottage is located in Lancie, a small town on the outskirts of Fleurie in the heart of the Beaujolais “Grand Cru” country. The cottage is much more spacious than the photos indicate with large rooms both upstairs and down. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The beds were the most comfortable we have encountered during our many trips to France.The WiFi was lightening fast and reliable.The kitchen is huge and well equipped. We hit a parch of bad weather so we could not enjoy the pretty garden; however it was lovely to look at from the coziness of the cottage. The Beaujolais country is a “must visit” for any wine lover. It is beautiful area with delightful people who seem to genuinely enjoy having foreign visitors. Thank you Patricia for making our introduction to your special part of the world a memorable one.

The property was in a quiet location, with a private garden and parking. The village had a general store for bread, croissants etc. Patricia, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. After the first couple of days she texted to make sure everything was ok. The property was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There is a train station within easy reach and good connections to Lyon and Mâcon.

We only had two nights in this delightful, character cottage, but it was enough to know that we will be back. Superbly appointed, ideally situated in the Burgundy countryside, yet only a few kilometres from the Macon metropolis. Thankyou Patricia, and a bientot.
