We have visited France many times but it was our first visit to the Ardeche. We deliberated over many properties. A quiet location, 2 bedrooms and air conditioning were important. This property ticked all the boxes. My French is ok but not great & the owner speaks no English but we managed to book using the wonders of google translate! The observations we would make about the property were that it was a bit tricky to find (or maybe it was just us) Some directions & some clear signing on the property would have made things easier. Although well equipped, there was no kettle at the property. We had a travel one anyway so that was ok. The property was clean & comfortable but if you aren't french bear in mind that there is no DVD player & only french TV. We didn't come on holiday to watch TV so we didn't mind but if the weather was bad... All in all I thought that the property was really good & I would return. It was just a 5 minute walk to the nearest river beach & was a 35 minute walk to Ruoms which was a charming little town with some nice restaurants. Ruoms was also a good base for kayaking
