Gites des 3 pommes1 a 20min puy du fou

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits au gîte des 3 pommes, tout s'est déroulé pour le mieux, excellent accueil.

The cottage, set in a hillside, remained mercifully cool, when temperatures outside soared to 40C. I suffered a broken arm on the voyage from England, but Christophe and Francoise were such excellent hosts that it was a holiday we would like to repeat -without the fractures!

Nous sommes chaleureusement accueilli par Christophe et sa femme Françoise. Ils nous avons fait beaucoup d’information de quoi à faire dans l’environnement. Un très beau jardin et une belle piscine. Merci pour cette semaine magnifique chez vous. Bien cordialement Ed et Karin

Un séjour comme à la maison. Christophe et Françoise nous ont mit à l'aise. Le gîte est très propre et fonctionnel , la baignoire est une piscine olympique pour le bébé 😂 L'espace extérieur est top, tous les matins nous allions voir les poules, et faire un tour de toboggan. Même si le temps n'a pas été top, Christophe a su nous faire un poulet au barbecue fumé avec les herbes du jardin. Une adresse à garder, pour une prochaine visite au puy du fou!

The property is lovely unfortunately not really appropriate for our 3 year old. The gate to the swimming pool didn't work properly and he could let himself in and out. The owner told us his dogs need to be carefully watched around children. The owners are around constantly (they are nice but intrusive). The car entrance opens on to a major road and is right next to the play area which means the children can't safely be left in the playground area.

Last week we stayed with our two children (7 and 9 years old) in Mauléon. Benefits of gites des 3 pommes include: - The beautiful garden - The extensive kitchen - The swimming pool in which our children enjoyed themselves - The proximity of Puy du Fou Beforehand we did not know that the garden is directly adjacent to the Route Nationale 149, separated by a wall only. This means that at a distance of 20-30 meters there is much (heavy) traffic. In addition, there is a traffic light, which means that traffic must slow down, pull up or take full speed. This noise continues well beyond midnight. If you are planning a holiday in France in which you can enjoy peaceful rest and whistling birds, be aware of this. Instead, while having a conversation on the terrace, you may have to raise your voice to overcome the noise. During daytime you will not be able to hear any of the birds which you do hear when you visit the website of gites des 3 pommes. The sound on that website is therefore a bit misleading. Francoise and Christophe are friendly people who are not to blame for the traffic noise. They do take well account of their guests, for example, by not letting their 3 dogs walk freely in the garden.
