😊: Location was excellent for my work. Very close to the river Saone banks and was able to enjoy morning runs alongside the river. The air con was a great and necessary addition to ensure a peaceful sleep.. 😢: The flat is lived in although the host does not reside there during your stay...whilst it doesn’t bother me and everything was clean and welcoming, I did not expect to be staying in someone's else living quarters. As a resul, it lacked storage for personal belongings/clothes. A simple foldable clothes rail added in the bedroom when the flat is rented would be a welcome addition. Also there was no hairdryer or at least it was not obvious where it was and I did not feel comfortable rummaging through someone else's stuff. Same applies to an ironing board. Found the iron but not sure where the board was. As a business traveler I expect to be able to briefly press my clothes before heading to the office..

😊: Good size apartment, plenty of space. Parking lot with secure gate and tree shade. Good washing machine. Good air conditioning in a very hot Lyon. Location reasonable, about 1km from the metro station that is 3 stops from Vieux Lyon or 4 from Bellecour. Quiet with windows closed, but a lot of street noise with windows open. First of all, this is not an accommodation dedicated for travelling guests, is an apartment where somebody lives on a regular basis when there are no guests; all their personal belongings are all over the place. This made us very uncomfortable; we travel a lot, but we never stayed in someone’s place with all their possessions. Usually in a dedicated accommodation you may have a few supplies of basic kitchen and bathroom needs, here is everything the owner has and is using, you don’t know what to touch, what to use or not.. 😢: Fridge is half full of personal items. The freezer is full, as I was trying to find ice cubes. All cupboards, bathroom cabinets, and everything else are full of stuff. No coat hangers or wardrobe to hang a shirt; all are full to the brim with owner’s personal belongings. We had difficulties understanding the instructions to get into the parking and into the property, very confusing and in French only. The WIFI password scribbled on the welcome sheet was illegible, after trying several times, I had to get in touch with the host. WIFI was slow, basic search was timing out. There is a terrible sewerage smell in the apartment, mainly in bathroom and kitchen. The apartment is very dirty and sticky all over; I cannot understand other reviewers’ cleanliness score or personal standards; we disagree we them. It is evident that this was not a one-off unlucky situation, the cleaning of the place was not performed for travel guests at a professional standard but was just left as is when guests show up. We took photos, including of a Green Stink Soldier Bug on the bathroom floor coming from under the washing machine. No bathroom towels, we messaged the host, she told us to take some from a cabinet, also full of personal belongings. The shower does not drain well and is very dirty of soap scum all around. A bottle of shower gel is covered in sticky soap scum. There are soap bars leftover bits not new ones. One basin tap leaks on the bench. The toilet seat is not fixed to the toilet, is not stable, it slides on one side. The kitchen appliances, cutlery and crockery with few exceptions are dirty and sticky, there is a mess in the cabinets and drawers as I was trying to find a corkscrew. The bed is not comfortable, it has a soft foam mattress, very soft and flimsy pillows that don’t provide neck support. The bed linen did not have a fresh feel. The lighting in bathroom, kitchen and lounge is very dimmed, hard to read a map, I used my phone torch. The sofa needs a good sanitising..
