Grand Chalet - Plein Sud - Vue panoramique - Vallée authentique-Portes du Soleil

Overall we had a good time with three families, several kids and one dog. There is enough space for everybody which is always helpful in bigger groups. Also there is a big cellar for drying the ski cloths. However the standard is partially questionable. While the beds in the major grown up sleeping rooms are OK. Kid beds and other furniture are very shaky. Bathrooms show clear signs of mold. Electricity is not 100% stable always and plugs are rare in many rooms. Nothing that could not be handed. So still we enjoyed our stay very much and also if the owner was not available in person he was managing everything very well. When heating was off at day one it only took a call to get it fixed within hours.

Chalet très agréable.Feu de cheminée très convivial. Les literies sont bonnes. Un petit rafraîchissement des peintures serait super. Le remplacement des toiles cirées et des canapés est à prévoir.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour d'une petite semaine après Noël 2020 au chalet, 5 adultes et 5 ados/pré-ados. Nous l'avons vraiment bien apprécié, un chalet à bien vivre, beaucoup de place partout, un grand séjour pour jouer discuter et manger ensemble, plusieurs grandes tables, beaucoup de chambres, un dortoir au grenier, tout l'équipement nécessaire en vaisselle/couvertures/bois pour la cheminée/pelles à neige... Chalet très agréable et bien pensé (douche au sous-sol en revenant du ski, nombreux porte manteaux, cheminée face à la grande baie vitrée), vue magnifique le matin sur les sommets et la plaine de ski de fond...La petite station (à pied pour le retour vers le chalet, ouh la grande montée !) a une bonne boulangerie, une fromagerie 24/24 ! et une épicerie, attention l'Intermarché est vers Chatel et non vers Abondance :-). Cet hiver en raison du Covid, pas de ski alpin, mais skating et biathlon et raquettes et chiens de traineau ![Attention, comme signalé dans l'annonce, chaînes obligatoires pour monter au chalet en voiture].Nous recommandons ce chalet !

We were 8 adults and 9 children. We had a lot of space and the decor was good for us. More people therefore certainly fit. La Chapelle d'Abondance ski slope was excellent for a few days or even a week for less experienced skiers. Especially the long green slope is recommended for beginners / careful (older) skiers. Via ski lift 'Panthiaz' you come to beautiful slopes in terms of possibilities and views. Recommended!

The chalet is outside the village in a quiet and private location with plenty of room for the children to toboggan and play in the snow. We had a big party of 20 and there was plenty of room to park our four cars for the daily trip to the slopes at Pre le Joux (10 minutes drive away). The chalet is very comfortable and well-equipped, with the added benefit of a games room in the basement (ping-pong). We had an excellent holiday.
