A real family home, grounds around, trees and birds and a very good and unexpectedly large swimming pool; the ultimate luxury during the very hot summer week of our stay. The home is made available to guests but clearly also in personal use by the owner's family; including 'Douby', the dear old dog - who also suffered from the heat, and a bit from the owner's absence. The many rooms and extended grounds made it possible for our fairly large family to have privacy in small groups as well as community life (this last, because of the wheather, mostly outside and around the swimming pool). Having lights at night for stayin out late turned out to be a bonus also. The washing machine is a bit tricky to handle if you don't know how - and the dishwoasher broke down but was repaired the next day! (A must, if with som many people). The kitchen has more than enough utensils for every cook and the French cookery books are an added bonus, as is the nearby Liddle, bakery, and possibility to walk down to the beach in 10 minutes!

At check out there was a lot of whoolaballoo with care takers who came prior to actual departure time. We lived here with 14 pax and the dog of the house owner in extreme rain and thunder weather conditons (garbage was flowing through the streets) with no cleaning tools. Caretakers did not clean properly as they had to leave for a wedding at 10 am. Subsequently the owner claimed the house was too dirty and deducted an amount from the deposit. Quite childish in our opinion as we were glad to help them out with their friendly dog including its own dirt distribution.. we did not get value out of the original cleaning cost charge, carfeful here with improper nagging especially in relation to overall proposition and rent and costs

"Location super à recommander sans hésitation. La villa est près de la mer, au début des calanques et quand le portail se ferme vous êtes à la campagne. Très bien entretenue avec un beau jardin et un espace piscine très agréable à proximité du parc Borely une seule rue à traverser où vous pouvez faire détente sportive,promenade ou vous rendre à la plage. Vous avez aussi et tjrs à proximité toute une série de petits resto sympa. La maison spacieuse est très bien équipée et rien ne manque. Bref, un séjour extra et la propriétaire est toujours serviable. Sans hésiter vous pouvez y aller.5 sur 5 ou 10 sur 10"
