If you want peace and tranquillity this is for you! The wildlife was just fantastic, watching the swifts give such a display by the pool, and a very close display of kites and buzzards as the farmer was cutting the grass - just incredible. Most mornings we saw the dear/s in the lower fields. And of course the little bat that decided he would sleep under the wooden terrace during the day. The farmhouse is set in a lovely rural location with spectacular 180 ° views, so wonderful we shared our early morning coffee with them. I am going to miss that first hour so much. The farmhouse is rustic with typical Bearnaise features. Pre supper drinks outside were the order of the day, even when watching the 360° storms. Phillip and his daughter were so helpful, although they live in the adjoining house were not intrusive. They were on hand at all times, should we have needed anything. They really were great hosts, and very respectful of our privacy. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Georgina was brilliant, and came to the rescue when I was picking roses and the wasps decided to sting me. We were invited to partake of the fruits growing in the garden and the herbs on the terrace. This was wonderful for me as I like to cook bake. I picked the ‘small wild yellow plums’ to bring home for jam making 😊. I will bring a pot back for you next year. Thank you all for making our stay comfortable, easy and so very very relaxing.

This was the first holiday we've been able to have together for 3 years (mostly due to Covid). It was perfect as each couple (x3) had a separate bedroom/bathroom area for privacy. Plenty of sitting areas and dining inside as well – though in good weather not needed. Good internet provision. Peaceful area. We enjoyed star gazing at night. Also watching the swifts (?) lining up on the wires twice a day and swooping down to the pool for insects and a drink maybe. And the huge birds of prey and deer in the distance. One day it was particularly clear, and we got a good view of the Pyrenees from along the road. Outside area great for covered eating when the sun was shining or if the weather turns bad. Great outdoor cooking facilities – plancha, BBQ and especially the loan of the paella equipment! Pool lovely - large and clean - the robot was put in each morning before we were awake. Plenty of sun loungers and shaded or sunny places to sit all day. The younger adults enjoyed table tennis, darts and pool. Too chilled to use the gym equipment! Some nice bike rides were had, but not for the novice as very hilly. Liza and Phillip were great hosts – always willing to help and offer advice, yet discreet. If you want peace and quiet this is for you!

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique chez Phillip et Liza, l’environnement de la villa est parfait pour le repos, dans une campagne magnifique, sans voisins, avec une rivière à 500m. Les équipements sont au top : billard, fléchette, piscine immense, badminton, croquet, jeu gonflable pour la piscine, nos enfant étaient aux anges. Nous avons fait le séjour avec 2 personnes de plus de 80 ans et ça c’est très bien passé. Vraiment je recommande!

We had a great time, the pool and the the house are huge. The hosts were really discreet but also always available for us. Located in the middle of the country side, it has the advantage of being extremly calm but in just 1h by car you can get to Bayonne, Mont-de-marsan or the pyrenees. Thank you very much for everything Liza and Phillip! :)

La maison est grande! L’espace piscine est top! Et il y a une table de Ping Pong jeux de fléchettes et badminton qui sont les bienvenus s’il ne fait pas très beau!

Une maison de caractère au milieu des champs beau paysage et calme absolu. Idéal groupe d’adultes avec enfants. Piscine parfaitement sécurisée et grande. Grand jardin clos. 4 belles chambres fermées + une en mezzanine sur le salon. En groupe chacun peut avoir son intimité. Hôte agréable et disponible mais très discret on en oublie sa présence à proximité.
