GREAT BEACH HOUSE FOR LARGE FAMILIES / GROUPS OF FRIENDS SLEEPS 12 + 2 BABIES

Functional house with 6 good size bedrooms and super comfortable beds. Kitchen with loads of cooking equipment which was great for a large group. I have to admit I didn't like the gas oven, but apart from that the kitchen was great. Sitting and dining areas were on the small side for 12 adults, and the outside dining area wasn't as in the photos (picnic benches rather than nice table and chairs). Having said that we had a lovely weekend (despite mixed weather) and Polly was helpful in all the communication. thank you

We were a group of 12, 2 families with 4 adults and 8 children between 8-18. We mostly used the house as a base from which to explore Normandie. The house was spacious enough for those purposes, plenty of options for sleeping and bathing, though only seating for ten in the dining room and it would’ve been a tight squeeze in the living room if everyone wanted to play a game at the same time. The yard was a bit overgrown, but the weather didn’t favor outdoor time much the weekend we visited so it didn’t matter. The kitchen was well-supplied with most necessary appliances and plenty of dishes and cutlery for a large group, even child proofing for the stairs and cabinets, though this wasn’t necessary for our group. We really loved our time in Normandie.

The hous was very big and comfortable. It was full of games and puzzles and had a lovely garden with a play house for the kids. The owner had even left boots, beach towels and other useful stuff. The owner was also nice and easy to have contact with. Always replied promply. The beach is just five minutes from the house with a long boardwalk perfect for stolling, walking or runing. The Brasseri in the village was nice and had good - not expensive - food. Our kids was on the beach everyday to collect shellfish, so we had that every night. Just lovely!

We had a great week here. The house is well kitted out with everything a family might need, including loads of games and beach equipment. Polly was there to greet us on arrival and we were able to contact her when needed during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The bedrooms had plenty of room and the beds are really comfortable. We went with another family and had plenty of space to spread out. The kids loved the enclosures garden and charged around it all week. Every window has a shutter so the bedrooms are blacked out at night, which was great to keep the children sleeping after sunrise. It is 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 from the village centre. Eating out was limited in the village but lots of places to drive to. It is in driving distance of lots of great days out, including a really well done zoo. A great base for a family holiday

Arrived to be met by Polly who was very proud of her house and rightly so, all as described dog friendly, clean, nice area and close to the beach. We have two Labradors who if could speak found it just like home from home. It was the little touches that made this place for instance the kitchen fully stocked with all that one would want for a dinner party and all the bathrooms having soap, toilet paper and shower gell plus endless supplies of tea and coffee filters. The week we chose was very cold but the house was lovely and warm Polly even explained how to turn up the boiler and told us not to worry as she also supplied lots of wood for the lovely open fire. This was truly a pleasant experience from some of the other houses we have stayed in. I would highly recommend this house dog and child friendly and also the Internet worked perfectly, well done.
