😊: Booked for cheapness and secure parking for motorbike, so knew it wasn’t going to be palace. The parking was excellent although in a public underground car park around the corner but didn’t have to pay extra for this. It was very quiet of a night, shower was good but needs a mat in and out of the shower. Good large tv. WiFi was ok. Had problem with WiFi, Greg was very quick to respond and very nice when we met him.. 😢: Property had essentials just about, 1 towel each, 1 tea towel, clean but old sheet and duvet cover, grim access to the first floor flat down a corridor and up some stairs, everything could do with a good clean and a lick of paint, plus cutlery and crockery needs replacing (in my opinion). There are homeless in the square of a day, but never once felt unsafe, we knew from previous reviews and price that it wasn’t going to be the ritz but we warmed to it and had a nice stay there..

😊: Good secure parking and in close proximity to local super market. Good location to access the local beaches by car or to drive to other cities in the south of France.. 😢: the lack of a bath mat, extra toilet rolls, poor quality linen and towels as well as some cooking essentials like oil and salt and pepper could really do with being invested in as it would elevate this property from what it is. There was also a lack of cleaning supplies which considering the extreme cleaning charge threatened and deposit required you would have thought would be provided. The property didn’t feel very secure as the wall and frame of which the door is attached to is very thin and could easily be broken into. In addition the front door of the apartment building is unlocked. We were also told there was a strict no noise after 10pm to respect the neighbours but on each night of our stay they were slamming doors and talking loudly in their own apartments late at night. As a non smoking property you would expect it not to smell of cigarettes also but unfortunately the neighbours (which i understand is out of your control) smoked inside caused a foul smell that leaked into the vents of our bathroom. Finally we found the owner of this property very difficult to contact due to his no phone call rule in a time of urgency. These are all small things that could be fixed and seem like reoccurring pieces of feed back (regarding bath mats, cleanliness and neighbours).

😊: There was enough room in the apartment for 2 people and it was easily accessible.. 😢: 1. Safety: The door downstairs was not locked and the apartment door did not seem safe + everything that was happening in the hallway could be heard through the door. The area was also quite sketchy as soon as it went dark outside. 2. The rules: SO MANY RULES for an apartment this quality. We had to pay 300€ safety deposit and the process is just so unbelievably unnecessary. The code for getting the keys was unbelievably long. Not a big deal but again- why make it more difficult than it needs to be??? We had to remove the sheets ourselves or else 30€ is taken from the safety deposit as a cleaning fee. It was made clear to us that if we don’t leave EXACTLY by 10AM then we have to pay for one more night from our deposit. 3. The neighbours: It was also in the house rules that we have to keep the noise down at all times to not disturb the neighbours but they were the noisiest neighbours we have had in any accommodation. There was a party happening upstairs on a weekday and everyone kept slamming their doors throughout the night. Could not sleep at all. 4. The communication: Why does there have to be so many messages? I got like 15 different instructions, links and automatic messages before, during and after just one night stay. Most of them only in French so I had to use Google translate all the time. If you really need a place to stay, it’s okay but I would recommend saving your nerves and find a different accommodation..
