Gruissan (Aude). Quiet apartment with marina view and parking space

Great location in an area we have visited previously, apartment was very quiet with stunning views across the harbour.

This is a lovely little apartment with great views over the marina. The bedroom is too small, so we used the sofabed in the lounge/diner area. Most evenings we ate on the balcony or found somewhere on the marina. The facilities were fine for a 5 night break. You'll need a car to get out to other towns & beaches. There's a good supermarket on the outskirts of town 7 a convenient store just by the apartment. Martine met us & answered all our questions, albeit in French ... A very agreeable stay in a very agreeable apartment in a very agreeable town.

Nice location over looking yacht club. Basic but clean and everything you need. Good value.

We had a very pleasant stay in the apartment & everything we needed was provided. Martine met us & let us in & then we set about exploring the Marina & the surrounding area. The view from the apartment is lovely &, on occasions, entertaining (particularly when boats nearby are setting off for the day; I'd forgotten how bad-tempered sailors can get!) The apartment is just right for 2 &, although I like a bigger balcony, there was more than enough room to eat out there & enjoy the view. The bedroom is quite compact so we used it as a dressing & suitcase room & made up the double sofa bed in the lounge, which was adequate. Nearby there is a small shop & then the supermarket (Intermarche) is about a mile or so away. Great choice of restaurants around the marina, but quite a few are closed out of season. Port Gruissan is a good location for exploring the region. The main Autoroute is close by so Agde to the East & Leucate to the south are no more than an hour's drive.
