Haus mit Charakter in der Nähe von Uzès und den Cevennen

I booked L'Autre Maison to host a gathering of friends to celebrate my milestone birthday. I looked at many properties online, but chose this one because there are a high number of rooms with larger beds, a high bedroom to bathroom ratio, and the exquisite decor of the entire property. The building and rooms have been restored to preserve the charm of an 18th century building in a tiny medieval hamlet, while also supplying every modern comfort. Each room is outfitted so beautifully! Benoit is incredibly friendly and was a fantastic host from beginning to end, answering every question that I had about the building and area; helping provide guidance in making plans for my group; sharing resources so that I could hire a private chef; and helping us make restaurant reservations. I'm only sorry that our stay had to come to an end, and I hope to be lucky enough to return in the future!

We were two families of friends with grown up children. The house was beautiful - plenty of space, well equipped and just lovely. And there were lots of little seating areas so we could be together but also get a bit of personal time. Air conditioning in some of the bedrooms was a great bonus. Benoit was really welcoming and helpful but never intrusive. He sent us information about local events - and even a playlist for our journey to help us to get into the holiday mood 😀 There is plenty to see and do in the area - and the pool was a great focus for our days pottering around in the house. Plenty of space for our group and a beautiful home. We really enjoyed our stay here. A little tough to find but Benoit gives very detailed instructions!

L’ Autre Maison is situated in a very small country village. The property is extremely well equipped with a lovely large kitchen. All rooms are nicely decorated. There is also large garage. The swimming pool is in a beautifully kept court yard with ample sun beds and seating. Our party of 14 made good use of the swimming pool, which was cleaned every day by Benoit, our host. Benoit and Annelie are excellent hosts, giving lots of daily information about local things to do. Nothing was to much trouble for them. After a two week holiday we were all very sorry to be leaving this beautiful house. We will be back. Ron Clough and family.

A really beautiful holiday in an ideal location with a superb host. The welcome and check-in was warm and professional. Benoit could not have been more helpful throughout our stay, from daily helpful suggestions on local events and places of interest to responding with efficiency to any requests we had. Everything about this operation is five-star. Our family party of 14 ranging in ages from 12 to 80 had a wonderful and memorable vacation in L'Autre Maison. This house is a winner.

From the time of booking the owner was in contact and extremely helpful with questions and suggestions of things to do nearby. The house was really beautiful, clean and everything we needed was available. All instructions were clearly laid out for our stay and departure. There were plenty of private spaces for people to have quiet time and large areas to come together as a group. You do need a car to get about but there are lots of activities and attractions short distances from the house. I would definitely recommend for any family get together.

We absolutely loved our stay at l'Autre Maison, Benoit made us feel "at home" and had lots of great information for our group, including trips for our parents (in their 80s and 90s). The house is designed to have both privacy and common areas, the area is fantastic and the one week we spent went of course way too fast. The house is well equipped and most importantly, after so many rentals with a long and strenuous check-in/check-out process, we really appreciated the warm welcome and ease of check-in/check-out that Benoit and his family implemented! Highly recommend this rental !!!

Fabulous place for our whole family (17). Hot week so the pool was great. Lots of space, bathrooms & beds. Cute old village and close to some nice areas. Very nice hosts. A special week to remember.
