Valerie is the absolute best host and more importantly one of the best humans my family has had the opportunity to meet. Not only did she attend to the few maintenance issues with diligence and enthusiam, she also was compassionate and supportive during a family crisis. We are proud to call her a friend. Her home reflects her warmth and beauty. We look forward to our future visits.

Beautiful big country house very well equipped, everything you might need is available. Large garden with a gorgeous children section. Valerie is adorable, lives across the road is always ready to help and has the same charming smile and manner wheter is 10 am or 10 pm. The interior of the house is beautiful, very well kept and well equipped. We stayed there in April and although the heating in the bedrooms and bathroom was excellent, the ground floor was rather chilly. We did not want the hassle of a wood fire and even had we done so it would have taken all our holiday to warm the large living area which is open plan. The single electric heater is not adequate. The garden would be ideal for children although both garden and play equipment needed attention. The surroundings are very peaceful with an excellent baker in Raveau and the house is very well-placed for sight-seeing trips.

What an amazing accommodation in a perfect location! A little hamlet in Raveau, about a five minute drive from the most beautiful town of La Charite sur Loire. A perfect base to discover the region of Sancerre, visit the vineyards, kayak on the Loire and meander through the medieval towns. Once home you can fully enjoy the garden or take a long walk into the forest. The house is extremely comfortable and clean and all amenities are present. Due to the house being built in 1839 the thick walls provided a cool escape during the very hot days. Valerie is a great host and we hope to be back next year!

A lovely cottage with a very nice yard full of beautiful mature trees and flowers. The house was very comfortable and they made sure we had plenty of firewood. The house is right off the A77, but still very quiet with a rural setting and we found lots of interesting places nearby.
