Holiday cottage - Cabrerolles

😊: The remoteness and beauty, whilst still being only 25 minutes from Béziers, was worth every penny. The house was well-equipped and comfortable, with lots of outside spaces. The air-con in the upper half of the house was essential for our summer visit (a heatwave sat over the region our entire stay) and worked well. Our hosts were extremely helpful, charming, and kept the place immaculately clean and the pool tidy. Their wines are excellent. The pool was most welcome, and cleaned most days. To call the place relaxing is an understatement. It is the perfect getaway for those who value solitude and calm. And don’t miss Roxi the vineyard dog, who is lovely!. 😢: Air-conditioning would be preferable throughout the house - we barely used the non-cooled areas during the tremendous heat we experienced on our holiday. We could have used a little more instruction as to how to access the property initially. A contact name and address (with GPS or What3Words) for the host would have helped us find the place more easily. An in-house booklet of handy information would have been welcomed - details of who to call in emergency, nearest doctor, nearest supermarket/shops, interesting local sights etc. Wi-Fi wasn’t functional. It relies on the satellite, and is therefore a bit unreliable. The host did try to work on this for us. To be honest, it was quite nice to fully detach from the virtual world for a couple of weeks, though for people who need to check emails and/or work during their time in Cabrerolles, this might be an issue. Very minor complaints, really. It is a gorgeous place, and we would heartily recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing holiday. We will be back!.
