Holiday cottage - Ile de Ré

We loved the Ile de...<br>#128578; Easy to walk into town.<br>#128577; Parking - a 12 minute walk away out of town. Garden much smaller than the picture. The house was dark - and although we understand "shabby chic" - the house was cluttered and felt scruffy. The bed was not made up on our arrival - the bed-linen was worn and did not feel fresh. The kitchen cupboards were awkwardly placed - the pots and pans were old and battered.

Belle maison mais propreté à...<br>#128578; Petite maison située magnifiquement bien, literie très confortable.<br>#128577; Le grille pain ne fonctionnait pas, signalé à novasol dès notre arrivée, rien a été fait durant le séjour.... Le ménage était très mal fait, les coussins, les plaids et les fauteuils étaient extrêmement dégoutants, une poêle avait été rangée non lavée, les coins des pièces non nettoyés, le filtre de l'aspirateur était immonde (donc je l'ai nettoyé afin de pouvoir faire le ménage)...J'ai passé plus d'une heure à faire le ménage à notre arrivée et j'ai fait une machine à laver...

We have stayed in Saint Martin before - just around the corner so knew the area well. We have never stayed in this property before and never will again. As soon as we opened the front door we were hit by the smell of damp. A quick inspection of the house revealed damp in the main bedroom and although the house may well have had a cursory vacuum clean there was dust and mould everywhere. The local Novasol agent was uncontactable and despite our complaints to head office did not reach out to us to help. The photos may show a cottage that looks cosy but beware. These photos must be at least 20 years old. I would strongly recommend that you avoid this property.

A little gem.<br>#128578; A lovely quaint hamlet in the town of Saint Martin de Re. Peaceful and relaxing and within walking distance of the port.<br>#128577; Bed linen was provided at a cost but was of poor quality , no pillow slips for two of the pillows. Will bring our own next time.

Beau séjour dans un bel...<br>#128578; L'emplacement, une maison au centre de Saint-Martin dans son "jus" dans un quartier calme et agréable et avec un petit jardin. 2 chambres confortables, dommage que les toilettes soient dans la salle de bain surtout pour 2 couples.<br>#128577; Un seul jeu de clé, pour 2 couples. Un détail : le grill-pain ne fonctionne pas.
