House / Villa - ROGNES

We had a wonderful stay at La Thebaide with our kids of 8 and 4. The villa had everything necessary for the family. The kids loved playing in the pool, as well as our daily morning trips to Rognes to pick up baguettes and croissants! Ben and Jira are great hosts and will go the extra length to improve your stay. For example they drove to Aix to inflate a hellium balloon for us, for our daughter's birthday. Jira made us a lovely Thai meal that same day, eaten on the terrace. We have many fond memories of the holiday and this part of France has so much to offer, with the Luberon minutes away, vineyards, the Cote d'Azure for a day trip along with many other places. Thank you Ben and Jira!

Our family of four spent three excellent weeks here. We received a very warm welcome from the hosts, Benjamin and Jira. They live next door and are happy to help in any way they can if you need them. If not, you feel like you have the place to yourselves. “Parties and events allowed” is a sincere offer, and we took advantage of it several times, having friends in the area over for dinner. On one occasion we engaged Jira to prepare an elaborate Thai dinner for 9 people. It was an amazing culinary experience, magnified by the charm of sitting on the terrace late into the evening. Our teenage daughter had friends from Aix-en-Provence stay over a few times, which was easily done, given the fold-out sofa on the first floor and two trundle beds in the 2nd bedroom upstairs. The house is charming and extremely clean. It has a pleasant and very well-equipped kitchen, covered terrace, and pool deck that all deserve special mention. The location is perfect, in the hills five minutes NE of the village of Rognes. A 10-minute walk up the hill affords a beautiful view of the Luberon. By car, the charming villages of the Luberon are 15 minutes and the Mediterranean is 45 minutes away. We thank Benjamin and Jira for a wonderful stay. We will definitely come back.
