House with Loire view

I and my dog were given a warm welcome by Md Barros to her lovely gite right next to the Loire River in the town of Challone-sur-Loire an ideal town to explore the area. The gite was cosy and well equipped and can easily accommodate four or more people. Just outside is a secure garden for my dog to roam in plus the river tow path where you can walk or cycle for many miles. I highly recommend this site.

Séjour de 3 semaines très agréable et très reposant. Merci à la gérante pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité

Maison plutôt bien équipée mais village trop calme (peu touristique). Néanmoins proche des accès routiers pour la visite de nombreux châteaux et exploitations vinicoles. Très belle région.

Just across a little lane from the 'royal' Loire, with a little garden backed by woodland, this is a gem of a cottage where age and modern renovation have been sympathetically married. It is well supplied with all the kitchen and dining equipment one could need, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathroom large enough for a family party (!) with the additional benefit of further facilities downstairs. The terrace is great for eating and lounging (in the right weather) and the inside lounge area looked comfortable enough though we scarcely used it. It's an easy walk into the commercial area of Chalonnes, mostly along the quayside, where there are a couple of decent restaurants and, boucheries, charcuteries, boulangeries, patisseries enough for everyday needs, with supermarkets no more than a 10 minute drive the other end of the town. Warm welcomes from the owners add to the pleasure of your visit, and with blackbirds, chaffinches, warblers, cuckoos and frogs supplying the wake-up call, you could believe yourself in paradise!

Très beau gîte très bien placé au bord de la Loire, le rêve! Très paisible. Nous avons apprécier de pouvoir faire des barbecue sur la terrasse. Location propre. Ras. La déc est sympa et la literie très confortsble! Peut être manquait il des éponges en bonne état pour nettoyer et faire la vaisselle. Mette du savon et des serviettes pour s essuyer les mains dans les salles de bains serait un plus appréciable je pense. Il manque aussi le wifi et la 3G ne passe qu'à l extérieur. Propriétaires très sympa et arrangeants. Nous avons pu emprunter 5 Très bons vélos toute une journée sans frais supplémentaire et c etait super. Merci à irina et sa collaboratrice nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour de 3jours entre amis.
