House with small garden in a quiet area 3 minutes from the town center

Très bonne location au calme. A 10 mns du centre ville. Nous recommandons fortement. Il y avait également tout ce qu'il faut pour notre enfant de 18 mois. Encore merci à Martine pour son accueil et ses conseils.

La maison de Martine est idéalement située pour découvrir La Rochelle où il n'est pas toujours aisé de circuler et de stationner en voiture. A 10 min du centre-ville en voiture et dans un quartier résidentiel très calme. Proche des plages. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour en famille. La maison est vraiment très agréable, ainsi que le jardin dont nous avons bien profité. Martine est une hôte bienveillante et chaleureuse ! Il y avait plein de jouets pour les enfants et même un petit cadeau pour ma fille à l'arrivée ! Ainsi que deux bouteilles de vin, quel plaisir ! Accueil et lieu rare. Je le recommande vivement. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

We are a family of 5 with three children under 6, we used the property as a base to explore the wider La Rochelle area such as the wonderful Il de Re! The Host Martine was very attentive and considerate, the property is in a quiet suburb that is safe, free parking for the car which is safe. A large Leclerc supermarket is within walking distance as is an excellent boulangerie so the locality ticks many boxes. It is not walking distance of any beach, however we found that it was well placed between the urban beaches and parks of downtown La Rochelle and the quieter more rugged beaches around Nieul sur mer. Turning to the physical property itself, it wasn't perfect, however what property is in this price range? We found it more than acceptable and spacious for a family holiday and we felt very safe there and felt it offered good value for money, Martine's hospitality in particular will stick long in the memory! Would recommend to families!

The owner is most welcoming and very helpful. The property has no stairs and each bedroom has view of the conservatory through to the garden. Parents can relax in this house! We had a very enjoyable stay here with our children, aged 5 and 3. There are lots of toys, books, films, tv/dvd player and everything for a baby or toddler. The property is only a few minutes walk to the supermarket and also the bus stop- 10 minutes to Place du Verdun. The house is very comfortable and made our stay very easy in La Rochelle. There are some restaurants nearby and the town of La Rochelle is great for a young family with lots of places to visit to keep children entertained, including the parc animalier in the Parc du Charruyer. Very highly recommended for couple with young children. Thank you Martine for making our holiday so enjoyable.

The house was perfect for us and our 17 month old. The owner, Martine, was such a lovely host. We were picked up by her at the airport and taken to the nearest supermarket to stock up on food. The house is light, modern and spacious with a lovely, clean shower room with baby bath. There was a high chair, cot bed and cupboards full of toys for children of all ages. Outside, the lovely garden had sun loungers and a dining table for 6, as well as a paddling pool which our little boy absolutely loved. The house was a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop which takes you to le Place de Verdin (bus station in La Rochelle) within 10 minutes. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away which sells everything you need including a great fresh fish stand. La Rochelle was a great place for a relaxing break and we could easily reach the water park at Perigny, Ile de Re and La Rochelle centre with its beaches and fabulous restaurants by local bus. I would highly recommend this house for a family who want to enjoy La Rochelle in quieter surroundings. Great value for money and such a warm and helpful owner.
