Joli Gite Dans Maison à Colombage-Kaysersberg

Very clean and generally comfortable. The style of the lounge was rather dark and oppressive, but with terrace we didn't need to spend time in there. A good location and far enough from the busy street to be quiet. Roger and his daughter Pascale did a very thorough explanation of the accomodation at check in.

Das schmucke Fachwerkhaus liegt zentral in Kaysersberg und trotzdem sehr ruhig in einer kleinen Seitenstraße; gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Vogesen oder in die benachbarten Orte. Die Vermieter sind absolut zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns zwei Wochen lang perfekt erholt!

Roger, his wife, and his daughter were a delight to meet. Not only were they friendly, but they took their time to ensure that everything was explained inside and outside of their apartment. Nothing felt rushed. Additionally, they always remained open for communication if needed during our stay. This apartment was spacious, tidy, conveniently located, and came equipped with all the necessary household essentials for an extended stay. Each room has its own charm and theme. Also, I just want to note that the apartment was spotless and extremely clean. You can definitely notice the owners care about the upkeep and ambiance of this apartment. If you plan on bringing a car, their garage is very spacious for a large vehicle. The bakeries (typically open around 7:00 A.M.) were within walking distance. The apartment is so nice we chose to stay inside for breakfast. It's a place we will always remember and definitely plan on visiting again. Places like this are a rare find!

We, an elderly couple, stayed in the upper apartment for 2 weeks, and cannot recommend the property highly enough. For us it was perfect. The description was accurate, the owners delightful, the equipment superb and we wanted for nothing. We had the use of the garage [no charge] and made full use of the spacious sunny terrace. M Messier speaks adequate English and his daughter is fluent. Kaysersberg is typical of most towns on the Route des Vins, scenic, almost traffic free with a very good range of shops [3 boulangeries; 2 boucherie & a small supermarket] and lots of brasseries. There are marked walking & cycling routes from the town. A grand little place.

Beautiful gite, very tastefully decorated with a homely feel. The gite is decorated throughout, in keeping with its colour scheme, various paintings, antiquities and ornaments. On arrival we felt instantly at home. Owners are very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They even provided a vast amount of info about local things to see and do, eating places etc. Situated in the centre, yet still a quiet location in a pretty town, on the wine route, an ideal spot to visit Alsace. We stumbled across this by chance, never having rented a gite before, and doubtful we'll find another to this standard again! Although we've seen most of what interested us in the area, we wouldn't hesitate to come back and highly recommend it to others.
