Jolie maison en pierres au calme dans un charmant village aux portes de Bayeux

😊: Beautiful location in the countryside. Lots of space.. 😢: On our arrival one of the two bedrooms was not done, first time in my life. We found the bed linen left wet on the washing machine along with other clothes. The stench of humidity was intense. We had to wash up and dry everything on a rush before the night. The owner did not offer a solution as she manages the property from afar. We filed a complain to Booking. The owner did not like that fact and sent confrontational messages. The whole situation was very unpleasant for us. Also, the accommodation comes with a set of mandatory requests which are sent a week before the arrival. Listing some here for awareness: Bring sheets to laundry, bring along all disposables yourself (e.g. rubbish bags, toilet paper, soap, etc), bring outside the rubbish according to schedule, ventilate daily, etc. Also. Some food items were left behind from previous owners in bad condition (e.g. jar of rotten pickles). The place has potential but is left unmanaged and customers are expected to do the managing on behalf of the owner..

😊: Lovely old stone house, very spacious, clean and with excellent facilities. Lots of room to spread out. Set in beautiful countryside but only 10 minutes from Bayeux.. 😢: Garden area rather overgrown. Not as inviting as the house. Although good to have private outside space, occasional mow/maintenance would make it as special as the house itself..
