😊: Nice apartment, bright, and well-equipped, ideal for a family of four as a base to visit Tours and the castles of the Loire valley. The street is about 15-20 minute walk to the old town centre, in a neighborhood that feels local and not at all touristy. Bakeries and supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are all within easy reach on foot. We had a very comfortable and tranquil stay.. 😢: On first impressions, the building and street look run down from the outside, but the flat is very well-maintained. The building also has a new front door and feels secure. The flat is located on the raised ground floor. The bedrooms face the road, but are well insulated. The living room and kitchen face the back, overlooking the parking area and garages. 5 The view from there is not great, but we only saw one car being moved in four days. Parking is on the street outside; it was easy at the weekend but during the week it was impossible. We used a nearby car park, which was fine. Communicating via the app was not always straightforward, since some parts (e.g. instructions how to get in) were only available in French, but we worked it out. There is a double and a single bed in each room; but the apartment would be small for six people. It’s completely fine for four. There are a lot of toys in the flat, which could be removed and provided on request instead (similarly, the highchair). The dish washer is separate from the kitchen, which is a little annoying, but it was still nice to have and not have to wash dishes by hand! All in all, no complaints!.
