L'éclat urbain - One-Bedroom Apartment

😊: Location, cleanliness of apartment. Quietness . Kettle, fridge available. Manager of property available by phone and very helpful.. 😢: Very old run down building in which apartment was located. Our apartment on the 4th floor was reached by 73 steps , the lift was not working,owner informed me about this some days before hand. Very badly lit stairs with minimal time to reach top when light was turned on and before it went out. Refuse bins stored in yard at ground floor , door open resulted in smells on entering accommodation and on all floors. Two mugs in kitchen cracked but in use. Air conditioning only in living room , bedroom very hot. Spare pillows stained and no pillow covers on same..

😊: Location in town centre, all amenities, clean, neat and spacious. And great correspondence with host..

😊: Central location and spacious. 😢: The lift was broken so 4 flights of stairs not property’s fault. Due to extreme heat no aircon in bedroom we used the sofa bed in living room under aircon which was great.

😊: Very central in the town, an easy walk to nearby town centre and restaurants. Comfortable bed and lots of space in the living area.. 😢: Four flights of circular stairs which we were unaware of until receiving an email half an hour before our arrival to say the lift is broken. It would be better to know about the level of the room (at the top of the building) when making the booking). Also it was difficult to find the correct door for the accommodation .. when lifting heavy luggage up so many stairs it was hard to know which was the fourth floor and so which door to try the key in! Naming the door with the Accommodation name would be so helpful and more welcoming..

😊: Excellent location close to everything in Chambéry.. well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Great to have a washing machine and a dishwasher. We loved the views from the windows.. 😢: The lift didn't work! I booked this property on the understanding that it had a lift to the 3rd floor then stairs to level 4. The lift was not working and looked like it had not worked for some time. This made things very difficult for us with luggage. We are an older couple and my vision is not good so having to navigate stairs every time we wanted to go out was problematic. The owner has offered compensation..
