L'Écrin des Arts - appartement avec jardin au coeur de la Côte des Blancs

😊: Ideal location for us in Avize. Off street parking, although it was easy to park on the street too. Clean apartment with a well equipped kitchen, adequate dining space, with comfortable seating. The bathroom was clean and well laid out, with a great shower. The apartment has a garden which gets the evening sunshine. There is a boulangerie & butcher a 5 minute walk away. also a nice restaurant 10 minutes walk away. There is a champagne house 2 minutes walk down the road offering tasting in a lovely garden. A personal welcome note was a nice touch.. 😢: We got a bit confused with the recycling. Probably due to different rules regarding what to put in which bin. Our apologies if we got it wrong..

😊: A lovingly refurbished first floor apartment with parking either on the street or, for more security, on site . A very pleasant hostess who lent us a third fan to cope with the extreme weather and subsequent heat inside the apartment. Relative proximity of the Champagne vineyards and Epernay.. 😢: It wasn't until we received instructions for arrival at the property that we realised it was on the first floor and accessed by a significant flight of stairs ( on reading previous reviews more carefully we did note one reviewer commenting on this). The outside temperatures meant eating in the garden was not practical during our stay but would have been difficult even in better weather because of the 'separation' of the apartment and the garden..

😊: Everything was great. Really comfortable bed. Good linen and towels. Excellent facilities it all felt new. Had everything we needed to cook. Lovely lovely hosts Julie and Theo made us feel so at home. Great outdoor seating area. Really safe car parking. The electric blinds everywhere are amazing. Lovely dark bedroom.. 😢: N/A.

😊: Amazing apartment decorated with love and taste. An unreal view from the bedroom window. We were 3 with a dog and it was comfortable stay..
