L'Escale du Vieux Port 4P - Closed Garage - Sauna - Air Conditioning

😊: Fantastic location in the centre of town. The kitchen had everything we needed although with so many fantastic restaurants nearby we didn't do much cooking. There was paid parking in the street outside so we were able to stop and unload/load the car while we picked up the keys and then took the car to the garage. Others have commented that the garage is not large but we were able to get our Mercedes 320 estate in. The aircon in the living room worked well. The beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. We didn't use the sauna.. 😢: The stairs are steep, polished wood and there is no handrail - I would recommend installing one. The weather was hot while we were there so aircon downstairs would have been nice, especially as you can't really open the windows because of the noise and lack of privacy. We had to keep the bedroom doors open and leave the upstairs unit on at night otherwise it became hot and stuffy very quickly..

😊: Amazing apartment centrally located close to everything. It seems like the apartment has been renovated in recent years. Great kitchen, cozy bedrooms, very comfortable bed, great bathroom, the apartment has a sauna which was fantastic for me. The windows of the main room face the square with a great view.. 😢: The bedrooms are located on the lower floor, you have to go down a large number of stairs, which is important for those with physical limitations. We asked the company that takes care of the apartment for less hard pillows, but we received a negative answer. The apartment does not have an air conditioning system, which we do not need at this time of year. The bedroom windows are at sidewalk level, so they cannot be opened at night. We recommend installing air conditioners or a ceiling fan..

Great location!!!.. extremely clean... near everything in Honfleur ... great for two people. Private garage. Only problem, there is no handrail going down 12 stairs to bedrooms and bathroom. Highly recommended

😊: The location was excellent. The shower and bathroom were as brand new.. 😢: The parking was difficult as the garage was much too small for our medium sized car. We had to resort to parking in the public car park which was a 20 minute walk away. Had we known this we might have chosen differently..

😊: Excellent property with nice kitchen, fantastic shower, comfortable bed. Lovely exposed beams and brickwork gave the rooms real character. Quality of crockery, utensils and other equipment was very good. The location is wonderful, knowing Honfleur we were confident but this exceeded expectations. Use the right back streets and you are only a few minutes away from the old harbour with the wide range of restaurants and really close to the local Carrefour. The garage with this property is another bonus, again only a few minutes away (very near to Carrefour) and saves you a fortune on parking charges 😀 Communication from the concierge service was excellent, even taking the time to thank us for reporting a fault (minor and nothing that spoiled the holiday, we just wanted to make them aware) on the penultimate day.. 😢: Soundproofing from other residents getting to and from the upstairs properties could be better. Every time someone came in through the front door our dog reacted (and barked-sorry everyone but he is a nervous little guy) But it’s an old property so I guess this is the compromise. Sound outside on one night was very loud from the nearby Maddy’s Bar. It did eventually die down by 1am. And it was only one night, the following night it was very quiet, very early! Nothing to do with the property but this was our first visit to Honfleur since 2018 and whether it was the pandemic or economic pressures, the town felt changed and not the town we once knew. Several old restaurants we used to visit have gone(Le Cristal on Rue Haute for one 😢) and the range of food choices seemed more limited overall. I guess we have all changed in those years, we just felt a little sad that such a good friend didn’t look as jolly…. We also visited Rouen and that was similar so it’s not just Honfleur! Still plenty of reasons to visit though and a first time visitor will have new impressions and experiences..

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans le duplex inversé à Honfleur ,un logement très propre,bien placé , très bien équipé et décoré ,nous recommandons ce logement et le contact avec la conciergerie. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Deuxième séjour dans un logement géré par la conciergerie Rémi Griffoul et L'escale du Vieux Port nous a vraiment beaucoup plu. Bravo pour la qualité du logement, les matériaux choisis sont clairement d'un niveau ++, rarement vu dans un logement saisonnier, la literie était très bonne et l’idée du duplex inversé, une très bonne idée également ! Nous avons opté pour l'option petit déjeuner comme la dernière fois et c'était top une fois de plus avec la livraison devant le pas de porte ! Encore bravo à toute l'équipe !

This is one of the best properties we've ever rented. It is extremely clean and new, very well appointed, and perfect location for walking around Honfluer. Communication with the property manager was excellent and there were no surprises. The only challenge is parking, but with a little effort you can figure it out with the information provided by the property manager. Wish we could have stayed longer!
