L'Escapade

😊: Great location, view of the river. Good room and firniture placement, very practical. Kitchen mostly well equipped and very practical. Kids enjoyed the toys and books. Interesting decor. Terace and balcony. Very private, no traffic, no noise. Good shower and water pressure. Dishwasher. Close to many of the Fontainebleau bouldering places. The owner was kindly available for our requests. I also liked anatomical pillows.. 😢: It needs a deep clean, everything is very dusty, the kids bed wasn't made and the "clean sheets" were stored in a very dirty dusty compartment under the sofa. The towels smelled upon arrival, but the owner kindly provided more towels so we could wash them. The whole place smells stale, especially the very many pillows, bed covers and beds, which are heavy with dust. The terrace hasn't been cleaned in a while. There were dustballs in the corners and under furniture. We spent most days outside the apartment, so it was bearable. The mattress needs to be changed. The kitchen and bathroom were better and cleaner and did not smell. One of the cups had been used as an ashtray and not cleaned. There are only three big teacups. The chairs are not kid-friendly (they tip over easily) and stairs are quite steep..

😊: Lovely and spacious home on the side of the river seine. Lovely balcony to soak up some sun as well as a lovely balconette facing to the river. Lots of games if travelling with children! We came to boulder in Fontainebleau forest, and all locations we wanted to visit were no more than a 30 minute drive. The house also included a drive way for easy parking. Hosts were great, with a lock box making check in and out super easy :) thank you!.
