La belle Charentaise

😊: The village and area is very pleasant.The upstairs is very nice.. 😢: Front door doesn't work correctly,beds uncomfortable,out of date treats left on the table as a treat, nice thought but a year out of date but the Pineau was a lovely surprise, Sofa's were taped together and extremely uncomfortable,outside furniture was old and broken,Light in the (Zen) bedroom was faulty and kept flickering and turning off,Feel like a lot of effort has been put in to the outside and not the important bit inside but saying that the upstairs is very nice the downstairs lets it down in our opinion. Also maybe some fans in each bedroom would be a nice touch as it stayed in the mid to late 30s at night and you can't have windows open as you get eaten alive by mosquitos. But if it was sorted we would definitely stay again as the village and area is stunning and the check in and out is very simple..

😊: Wonderful location and a really nice property.. 😢: One of the beds could have been more comfortable, otherwise it was perfect..

😊: Location was good for travelling by road to Bordeaux from Calais and sightseeing nearby plantations..

😊: We only stayed one night but it was a very relaxing evening and super value for money. This accommodation is one wing of the host's large house. It was a very big size and well-equipped. The upstairs was particularly impressive, with three beautiful and spacious bedrooms to choose from. Would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here if you are passing through the area. Thanks for your hospitality..

😊: We had a perfect stay at La belle Charentaise! Plenty of room, comfortable beds, secure driveway and the whole space around the house, very quiet location. The hosts were very accommodating, kind and went over and beyond to make sure we had a great time! I cannot thank them enough for helping us to locate our spare car keys, which we left somewhere within the property and only realised hundreds of miles away - they were so kind and sent them to us - I will never forget that! THANK YOU!.
