La Belle Vue

😊: The location was great. The terrace was fantastic- always somewhere to sit with a good view over rooftops to the countryside close by, whatever the weather. Lots of interesting birds to see flying very close with some visiting the terrace. The owner is lovely and clearly very proud of his apartment. We probably would stay again.. 😢: The stairs up to the bedroom, (and hence down to the loo in the night) were steep. The light in the apartment was poor, it was difficult to find a bright space. It was not clean. Much of the cookware and tableware needed to be washed before use. There is a lot of ‘stuff’ in the apartment, ornaments, in the drawers, everywhere so it must be difficult to keep it clean. The mattress and bedding were new so were clean but below the mattress and very visible was a very nasty stained area. There was a lot of competing smells - incense, air freshener in sachets, powders, automatic dispensers- scent overload..
