😊: Perfect for a short trip, close to the city.. 😢: It took me a while to understand exactly where the apartment door was, but that may be the difference between country’s..

😊: easy access to the train station and also to downtown, reasonable price, quiet place, clean and neat place, comfortable bed.

😊: Great little flat in a good location. Clean and tidy. Quiet and secure and good wifi connection.. 😢: The bed was not very comfortable and we did not receive instruction on how to access flat. On arrival it was not obvious how to get in and I was a little worried we had been scammed, I messaged the owners and had a nervous wait of almost 10 minutes before they sent the instructions. This really should have been sent in advance of my arrival. Despite this initial issue we enjoyed our stay and would come back..

😊: We liked the location which is a short walk to the cathedral etc. The apartment has secure parking which is another bonus in a city. It is a compact basement apartment but there are large windows to let in light and air. The kitchen is a rather small but okay for simple meal preparation with a bit of juggling tasks. There's plenty of hot water for showers but you have to bring your own towels and soap. Communication with the owners was fine though we had to ask the number of the apartment as we hadn't been told that and there was no number on the key.. 😢: A basement wouldn't have been our first choice though it was good value. It's near to the front door which other residents let bang shut and carpark gate opening both of which are audible though can be ignored unless you're very sensitive to noises. Other than that it was a quiet place to spend a few nights after enjoying the attractions of Chartres..
