La Casa Dorée

😊: The location was in the centre of town, but on a very busy, very close, and narrow road.. 😢: The apartment is very small. It is nothing like 30m claimed. I would suggest it is more like 16-18m. The photos provided make it look larger. There is no cellar room that we were given access to. There is a main bedroom above the space, with steep squeaky steps up. The kitchen and bathroom, though equipped with all you need, are both tiny. The shower had a handheld fawcett, which must be held, as there is nowhere to hook it. The living area is taken up by a sofa and table. The sofa one of us slept on was awful. Hard, with a deep rift down the middle, and if you lay or sat on one end or side the other went up. It was also squeaky. But most of all, it’s very noisy! The apartment is right on a very busy small road that runs through town. The only window in the apartment opens directly onto this road. The noise is cut down a bit if the window is kept closed. But only a bit. If you leave the door to the apartment open - as it opens into the courtyard entrance and is behind a gate - the sewerage smell is overpowering. The wifi information on the card is outdated. We needed to check the box. There is no Netflix or Prime etc. And last but not least, it was very difficult to find the property. The number 10 appears twice in one block. If you park in the centre near the Marie you think you are very close, as you see the number 10, but no, it’s another number 10 about 5 or six houses away. Very confusing. Also you can’t park in that car parking area overnight, as it has a 90 minute limit. So unpack your luggage here. Then there is another car park down the bottom of that narrow busy hilly road. I really don’t understand how this property ever got reviews of ‘10.’ That is misleading too..
