La Chapelle de Monet - Logis Jasmin

😊: Excellent location for visiting Monet's house and garden. Not difficult to find. Very clean, with modern kitchen and bathrooms. TV was working and very useful to find olive oil and some spices/herbs available to use. Bathrooms had loo paper, towels, soap etc. kitchen had cleaning equipment, dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc. Beds were comfy and bedrooms had black out blinds on velux windows (though took a little while to find the controls- by the bed- makes sense!) The grocery store wasn't too far away and fortunately for a Sunday in France, it was open til late.. 😢: Difficulty finding a key box. Told it was on one side but actually it was on the other, as you approached the gate! Fortunately we arrived in daylight. Main issue however is that this was advertised as a 3 bed cottage and the owner asked me how many beds I wanted making up. I asked for 3. However it's a 2 bed house (2 double beds, one up a ladder not a staircase). Eventually we worked out the third bed was a broken looking sofa bed that even a toddler would struggle to sleep on, which wasn't made up anyway. Therefore if you need 3 separate sleeping areas and 3 separate beds then be warned. If it wasn't for this issue my review score would be higher. I recommend that the owners change their description to a more accurate one..

😊: beautiful renovation in a very quiet location, plenty of room to spread out.. 😢: couldn’t access WiFi which upset the kids more than me!.
