😊: Spacious and well accommodated house with all you could wish for when you're on vacation. Nice closed garden at the back (ideal for the dog), kitchen fully equipped, spacious living area and bedrooms cosy and beds comfortable. The host very welcoming and providing enough information about the place and surrounding areas. We had a very nice weekend together with the grandchildren. We will be back!. 😢: There are some delicate decorations which we needed to put aside so the kids wouldn't break them ;-) Perhaps not clear for every visitor: a 300€ deposit in cash must be provided (will be returned at departure) and linnen and towels can be provided at a cost..

😢: Very uncomfortable stay – privacy invaded and money unfairly withheld Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant experience and we would not recommend this gîte. When we arrived, the owner was already inside the accommodation and refused to leave. She demanded a €300 cash deposit which was not mentioned at booking, nor in any small print. When we explained we didn’t have that amount in cash, she told us to go to a bank 3km away and said she would not leave until we gave her the money. It was late in the evening after a full day of travelling, and we said we would go the next morning. The next morning, she was banging on the door first thing. When we opened it, she walked straight in, hands on hips, demanding the deposit. We paid it, and she said it would be returned the following morning when we checked out. On checkout day, instead of the owner, her daughter arrived and immediately began inspecting the house, shaking her head throughout. The property was left spotless — kitchen scrubbed, floors hoovered, bedding stripped. Despite this, she complained that the dishwasher was dirty before even opening it. Throughout the entire stay, communication was extremely difficult as we had to rely on Google Translate. The daughter laughed, repeatedly saying “no, no, no” without even reading what we had written, which felt very rude and dismissive. We refused to leave without our deposit. The daughter called the owner, who arrived and then proceeded to inspect every cupboard, plate, glass and mug in a very strange and uncomfortable manner. It was clear they were determined to keep some of our money regardless. Eventually, they returned most of the deposit but kept €54 with no clear explanation. At that point it was obvious we were going to get nowhere and that they intended to keep some of the money. To add to this, the owner lives directly opposite the gîte and sits watching the property from her window, which made us feel constantly observed and extremely....

😊: Great location for us as a family with short drives to points of interest, nicely tucked away in small village surrounded by fields and farming animals. Property has nice sized rooms and space for everyone. Host was very welcoming and helpful, we shall definitely return..
