La Cotte Remote house for family getaway in Périgord

Great place and we're definitely coming back!<br>#128577; There was only one minor problem, which was the water in the pool. It hurt our eyes badly when getting any water in them and it tasted sour. We were reassured that it was all fine and they checked twice.

Mais toujours le même pb le lendemain … bref une plaque électrique serait la bienvenue … et beaucoup plus sécure……

Beautifull situated property. Secluded, very very quiet, a 15.000 m2 garden, with a lot of trees supplying a shade hide out. Surrounded by agricultural fields. During our stay the pool was out of order. That concluded in a proper refund. As a relief to the sun and adding to vacation joy, we put up a small swimmingpool ourselves. An absolute necessity during a 42 degrees heatwave. The house has a lot of rooms. A big entree, livingroom, 5 bedrooms. 10 beds. 2 bathrooms. A big kitchen with everything you need. A big shed with a tennistable. 5 sunbeds, a total of 20 chairs, extra outside table. So we had breakfast/lunch on different spots in the garden. Note: it is a very old authentic farmhouse. So... no isolation, some moisture smell (ventilation is necessary). Impossible to keep clean from little insects and a mouse now and then. If you're not impressed by that, you're good. The surrounding area is also beautifull and has enough entertaining. Great nature, beautifull little places like Vertillac, Aubeterre (kayaking, cavechurch), Riberac (market), Castels, amazing caves "Grottes des Valles", etc, etc. At Vertillac a "we have everything" vivalstore, a boulangerie, butcher, little cafe's to have breakfast or a drink. Food is overall very good. So in conclusion: we enjoyed our familystay at La Cotte greatly. It just has something about it.
