La Garenne

We loved this place, such an amazing location. The property was very clean, comfortable and provided everything you could need. Check in was simple, the owner was there to welcome us and was available for anything if needed. Dave also gave us some great advice regarding fishing further along the river which made my partner's stay perfect! We loved the view of the river from the property and particularly appreciated the lovely pool especially as temperatures were pretty high during our stay. Dave and Heather are very friendly hosts who gave us complete space to enjoy our holiday whilst being on hand if needed. Thank you so much.

What a find! This lovely gite is the perfect place for couples/small groups wanting a relaxing and peaceful break in the beautiful Charente region.The gite has been thoughtfully converted and is prefectly set up with everything you need for your holiday. Well maintained gardens with a good selection of garden furniture for dining and relaxing, and the bonus of a private pool!Finally, location... the gite overlooks the beautiful vienne river providing stunning views especially from the balcony and additional seating area on the river bank. Its also well located for exploring the area and enjoying the french lifestyle!

We had a great time at La Garenne. Dave and Heather were really helpful and provided us with ideas of family activities and local restaurants (all of which were lovely) and the gite was well equipped with everything needed. The pool is also much bigger than the picture shows - perfect for our 8 and 10 year olds to play in. Great boulangerie and bar in the village too.

A Get-Away that fits every...<br>#128578; This place is divine. From the beginning it wows you with its setting, next to the beautiful river Vienne then to the house and how nicely prepared and kept and kitted out with all the facilities you would need and then some... to the nice, private garden with above ground pool that even in September I made use of everyday. And finally, to the most attentive hosts David Heather, informative, helpful, not over bearing, but just right to make you feel valued and that bit special.<br>#128577; Leaving... We wanted to stay but unfortunately, we had to return back to reality. Next time though :-)

Decent place, David really nice...<br>#128578; David was friendly polite and helpful. the pool was good and the patio area was nice on an evening.<br>#128577; cctv cameras over the pool and garden area which were recording, prior to booking I was told the cctv was only on when the property was empty. The cameras infra red were illuminated at night showing the cameras clearly were on. ( I install cctv for a living) cockerel’s and chickens squawking really loud all day long in the allotment next door. My wife got up early on the morning we were leaving and cleaned the house from top to bottom and stripped all the bed linen , it was cleaner than it was...
