La Grange de la vallée du Cher

We had a lovely 4 days at this peaceful spot. The accommodation was just as described, the hosts were very welcoming and the pool was great after days spent visiting nearby chateaux. Highly recommend

We stayed three nights. The family run thé gîte and give you privacy and a gorgeous backyard to use. The pool is wonderful. The suite is eclectic and has everything you need. The house is stone so it is damp but the bedding is cozy and clothes after swimming or washing can dry outside in warm weather. We loved the family dog. He’s so friendly and adorable. We went for a walk in the town and it’s lovely.

We both enjoyed our stay the property was clean. The location was peaceful, with everything we needed only a short drive away.

We are so happy we chose Chissay-en-Touraine for our visit to the Loire Valley. It feels wonderfully away from tourists and local traffic, yet its central location is close to the best-to-see chateaus. We absolutely loved our hosts generous offer to use their very fine bikes and we were out and riding 3 different circuits of up to 19 miles through the countryside on dedicated roads and paths. The hosts, their daughter, and very playful dog gave us information, privacy and everything we needed to make our stay one of the best we’ve ever had.

A great location for touring all the Loire has to offer. Comfortable, with all the amenities. My teenage boys loved the ping pong table! No AC but a fan was provided which kept it very comfortable in the hot summer. Geraldine and her family are kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Their dog is adorable. We would definitely return to stay! Thank you.

Just 15 minutes from Amboise and about 10 minutes from castle Chenonceau, this location is situated not far from the banks of the lovely Cher River. You can walk to the river or to Chissay castle, hosting a hotel today. We were able to use the host's bikes to go to castle Chenonceau which is one of the nicest Loire Castles (with the bike about half an hour). Also the canoe trip (Base in Civray, just 15 minutes away) was very nice. Although the kitchen is lacking the one or the other little item, the location is really worth a visit if you want to see the Lore and Cher Valleys with their castles. And the hosts have decorated the location with love for detail as the pictures might already tell you.

The place was beautifully decorated with all new appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The bed was comfortable and we were able to get a good night's rest in a quiet countryside setting at the edge of the village of Chissay-en-Touraine, only a short distance from Chenonceau Chateau. The owners are a wonderful, friendly couple, available next door if needed.
