La Magnanerie - Vues fantastiques, base idéale pour l'Ardèche et Chazzezac

La Magnanerie is a comfortable property that we enjoyed. The location is excellent and it is possible to see many parts of the L'Ardeche if you are adventurous. The property is clean and well-equipped. The host Jane was welcoming and is very knowledgeable about the local area. There is a road outside that is noisiest in the mornings but we were not overly disturbed. This property does have low beams in places upstairs so probably best not recommend for tall people. Otherwise a great choice.

Das Haus hat einen großen Wohn-/Essbereich und ein uriges Schlafgeschoss, in dem Erwachsene den Kopf einziehen müssen. Betten sind aber auch für große Menschen geeignet ;-). Wir haben vor allem alles, was mit dem Fluß Le Chassesac zusammenhänght gemacht (Baden, Wandern, Kanu, etc.) Die Ardeche selbst war im August doch sehr überlaufen. Hierfür war dei Ausgangslage der Wohnung fantastisch.

Gîtes chaleureux et confortables avec musique et livres à disposition. Cadre super avec vue sur la vigne de la terrasse. Les Hôtes sont super ! Gentils, discrets et très attentionnés pour que l’on passe un bon séjour. Thanks you very much Jane for everything. 🤩

To keep it short: We liked it very much! The house was very cozy, had everything we needed for our one-week vacation and looked just beautiful. We slept very well and in absolute silence - which is extremely nice when living in a metropolitan area. The mountainside around is astonishingly beautiful, as well as the small villages everywhere. Also we can highly recommend nightly strolls to see the most beautiful starlight sky. Jane is the best host, she was very accomodating after our 14h ride and is just a nice person. Our whole family enjoyed our stay at the house from Jane and Alan very much. The house is very well equipped with everything we needed - we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner very much on the big balcony. It was a perfect base for our day trips in the Ardeche area. We're thinking to come back to this place once more. Thanks alot for your hospitality.

Lovely location with beautiful views and sunsets over the Ardeche and Cevennes mountains. The owners were very helpful but discreet. There are low beams upstairs but it added to the rustic charm of the gite. The local boulangerie in Lablachere center was excellent and the market at Joyeuse was amazingly large and well supported. The area exceeded our expectations and is added to the list of one of our top five places we have stayed in France over the last 25 years. The road outside is reasonably busy but the outlook from the veranda made up for that. Labeaume, Vogue, Lac de Villefort, La Garde Guerin and of course Pont D'Arc are essential visits.

A lovely little property with an amazing view from the balcony area. We loved the kitchen area. There is much to do in this vibrant area, the villages, markets, rivers and eating areas. The only issue is that the head room space in the property upstairs is small, so great if you are little people like us, but not so if you are closer to 6ft! like my son! I also would not recommend this property for young children, due to the staircase, steps and glass door. However, if you are looking for a view, a beautiful area and lovely hosts, then this is the space for you. We had an amazing time and shared the other part of the house with friends which also is great if you are a team of 8. Well worth a visit if you wish to explore the beauty of the Ardeche.
