😊: A lovely gite with everything needed for a week in the Loire Valley with the family! Thierry greeted us on arrival and gave us recommendations on what do do, eat and drink in the area. The gite was well furnished, including a large bed in one of the bedrooms. The location was quiet but well connected, with a fantastic short walk to the local bakery through the chateau's park.. 😢: The shower head didn't have a wall-mount, the washing machine was in the storage unit of the adjoining building, and the two bedrooms are connected without a corridor meaning you have to walk through the larger bedroom to/from the stairs. We were also surprised on the final evening with a message from the owner asking if we'd like to pay €50 for the 'cleaning option' or clean the gite ourselves. This hadn't been mentioned on Booking.com or the check-out notice in the gite, so meant a rushed end to our stay..
