La Maison de la Plage

😊: Fantastic location, just yards from the beach, and with everything you could possibly need really close by. Karl, the host - who speaks good English - was exceptional, communicating well before the stay, meeting us with the keys, and making sure we were 100% happy before leaving us to get on with our holiday. The flat was a really nice size, with three decent bedrooms upstairs, a well-appointed kitchen and a comfortable living room, and we had everything we needed for a lovely week in Arromanches. The little supermarket in the village is fine for daily needs, although there's a bakery just downstairs for bread, and a big hypermarket is 10 mins away in Bayeux. The flat's on a short pedestrianised stretch of road with lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and takeaways and Arromanches was buzzing while we were there. We loved our stay and loved the flat.. 😢: Parking is at a premium across Arromanches. Because the flat's on the main pedestrian street, there's no parking close by; there is a free car park about 250m away but it's only small so you have to hope there's a free space as you're passing. You don't always need to take the car out though, as everything you need is so close at hand..
