La Maison des Hautures, La Maison des Hautures: distinctive property near the amphitheater

Great location around the corner from the bull ring. Close to shops and restauarants and great for walking around town. Dishwasher could do with a service.

Property was very pleasant, clean and well equipped. Right in the heart of the historic old town part of Arles. Host was very helpful in proving guidance to getting to the property along with local restaurants and sights. A very pleasant experience!

I loved this house! The location is wonderful - close to the historic center, patisserie, restaurants and grocery store. I felt like I was sleeping in a castle with the large stone block walls and the comfortable beds and sheets smelling so good. The stairs could present some difficulties for some people as they are narrow and spiral. Our host, Michel, speaks only French but if you know a little French you will do fine. Michel was very helpful with showing us where to park for free and where all the necessary stores are. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. I would stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to be in Arles again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette petite maison de caractère, idéalement située à 2 pas des arènes et donc proche des principaux sites d'Arles. Quel plaisir de pouvoir sortir après dîner, même avec des enfants, et profiter des illuminations... Pour la voiture, se garer devenant difficile et cher dans le centre même, Michel nous avait conseillé le parking de la gare, à à peine 10 minutes à pied de la maison, c'était très pratique. Notre hôte s'est montré par ailleurs très sympathique et prévenant.

It was more rustic than we expected but provided everything we needed. I liked the added thought of little things like a new bar of local soap in the bathroom, water bottles in the bedroom and orange juice and packaged waffles for our first breakfast. The kitchen was SMALL but typical French but all of the cook wear was clean and modern. :) The bathroom was spacious but it was difficult to not have the shower leak. The location was perfect! Close to everything in Arles and a good home base to explore the area (free parking at the bus station).
