A lovely break in a...<br>#128578; We were self catering so the excellent kitchen facilities were much appreciated. Salt, oil, stock cubes ....all there. No instant coffee, sugar or egg cups so bring your own if you want boiled eggs or improvise with coffee cups and a little kitchen towel roll both supplied. Lots of different pans, microwave, toaster, fridge and a proper electric oven. Convenient for baker and small shops on foot but E Leclerc and Intermarche are close by car, Leclerc is better for fresh milk. Plates, glasses, ...<br>#128577; French washing machines have different expectations than English ones and I had a bit of a fight with the one in the bathroom but Josiane’s daughter who lived upstairs sorted this out. Checking out the handbook on line first would have helped. We were a little cold the second night but not any others so this may have been because the clocks went back the weekend before our Monday arrival. The weather was often wet but this is never the host’s fault and we were there in November!

Sehr gelungen, kein Eunder bei...<br>#128578; Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liegt zentral. Fussläufig ist Bergues in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Parken am Haus geht nicht - Fußgängerzone -, doch ein paar Schritte entfernt kein Problem. Kostenlos. Die Gastgeberin war verreist, doch ihre Tochter hat sich perfekt um alle Belange gekümmert. Einziger Wermouthstropfen: Ein Platz im Freien fehlt. Wird aber auch nicht erwähnt. Alles in allem: Wir kommen gern wieder.<br>#128577; Wie gesagt: Ein Platz im Freien wäre toll gewesen . Wird aber auch nicht versprochen. Also; auf ins Dorf!
