La Maison du Colonel

😊: We had an excellent couple of days in Colonels house. It is huge; the long diner table has no less than 14 seats. The kitchen and the fridge are also very big and all necessary supplies are there. Despite its size, the house is still cozy. Toilets upstairs and downstairs. Many sleeping rooms. The view from the house accross the valley and the opposite hils is absolutely great, and for us the main selling point of this house. As you can see on Maps, the house is directly along a small road. During the time we were there, I guess it was one car per hour, and you can hear (when outside) that lonely car just for a few seconds. The garden is completely private. Its yours and yours alone. The owners are very interested in your well being and are always in reach over the mail or through booking. Access is easy. We left the car in the parking spot along the road. (See the photos on booking) We did not light the stove in the mighty fireplace (nice weather), but it looked in working order. We tested the TV and casted the Rolling Stones from my rather old phone (youtube) without a problem. (Gimmie shelter and Miss you. ;-) ) The house is heated by something modern and it is nice and comfortable warm from early in the morning on. Sooo.. looking for a big yet cozy house in the rural hils of the cantal.. I would definitely recommand this Colonels house.. 😢: Nothing. Everything is conform the photos and the text..
