😊: We stayed in this charming, typically French little house for our holiday, and while there are some clear positives, there are also significant issues that future guests should definitely be aware of. On the positive side, the house is very nicely decorated and clean, with a lot of character. It feels authentic and welcoming. While it is slightly smaller in reality than it appears in the photos, it still offers enough space for a family of four. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the promenade, a bakery, and several restaurants. It’s also a great base for exploring nearby towns and the surrounding area.. 😢: However, there are several important downsides, starting with the overall management and communication. You do not communicate directly with the owner via Booking, but through an intermediary company, which then communicates with the owner and back to you. This creates a slow and somewhat frustrating process, especially when issues arise. In addition, a deposit of €1300 is required. While this amount is not actually charged, there is still an extra fee (around €12) just for handling the deposit through yet another third-party service, which feels unnecessary. The most serious problem we experienced was that from Monday onwards (we arrived on Saturday), there was no hot water and no heating at all. I reported this immediately, but only received a response later that evening saying that a technician could not come before Thursday. We were offered either to cancel our stay and find alternative accommodation or to receive compensation for the days without hot water and heating. Canceling at that point was not a realistic option for us, so we agreed on compensation. When our stay was over, Unfortunately, the amount offered was only €40 in total (for 3 days and nights without hot water and heating, around €13 per day), which we found completely inadequate given the circumstances. The kitchen is also not well equipped. Although there are three pans, there is only one small pot, which is not sufficient to cook something simple like pasta for four people. ..or there are no proper knives available — no bread knife and no suitable knives for cutting vegetables, cheese, or cold cuts, only basic butter knives. Another issue is the heating system itself, which is very noisy. It turns on during the night and creates loud sounds in all rooms, which disturbed our sleep..

😊: It was in a superb location, very comfortable with good facilities. A microwave cooker would have been useful..
