😊: Spacious apartment with interesting hand-made furniture. Great location..

😊: Sébastien was very kind and gracious when we arrived later than expected picking up the keys. He was flexible with the timing for check in and it was nice to be welcomed in person (and not just pick up the keys from a key box). Location is fantastic: you're in the heart of Najac, which is a wonderful village that offers quite a lot even during the off season (e.g. small local and organic shop with all the basics you might need to cook and more, bakery, couple of restaurants and cafes). It was lovely to stay in a place that is impressively and tastefully well-furnished and well equipped; definitely not your typical Airbnb these days (i.e. soulless places that all look alike and are furnished sparingly and cheaply). It made for a very comfortable stay and it didn't feel like cooking was an effort (as it does in holiday-let kitchens sometimes) - the kitchen is spacious and has pretty much every single implement you might need. It was very convenient to have a dishwasher (and tablets) as well as a washing machine (and tablets) to use. Lovely view on the terrace. This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay and I would highly recommend it.. 😢: Currently guests are charged a (substantial) cleaning fee but asked to take out bins and recycling, which is not very convenient. I told the host and he immediately said I didn't need to do it, but for a seamless experience guests shouldn't have to question practices like these. It wouldn't have been a major issue for me but on top of that the house could have definitely been cleaner (eg. some of the dishes that were, I assume, cleaned by previous guests and put back on the shelves weren't that clean (that needs to be better checked in between guests), some bits of soap had been left in the shower, and the shower drain needs to be emptied from all the hair (yuck) and some more thorough dusting should be done too). Sidenote: the addition of a small compost bin/container for the kitchen could be convenient: please note that there are composting facilities throughout Najac that are easily accessible to non-residents (just by the parking lot that you can reach within a 1-min walk if you turn left as you come out the house)..
