We had a perfect stay at La Maison Ocre. The most peaceful setting with gorgeous views. Danny was a great host, giving us lots of suggestions for activities in the area for us and our two small children. The house was so comfortable and had everything you needed. Amazing pool area and just being surrounded by the vines was picture perfect. I’m sure we will be back. Thank you Danny!

The property smelled of damp, needed the dehumidifier on all the time to reduce smell. Also purchased air spray. Pool unusable for three days due to pool stopping working. Pool surrounded by wasps. Advised Danny Thursday of first week re wasps he stated he would get a technician to it, as he did not arrive until Saturday, he did not. He sprayed the roof of the barn, on the Sunday after he had arrived, next to the pool as the wasps seemed to come from there, this made no difference. There were also ants at the pool that would bite. My family did not want to spend anytime by the pool. I was the only one who used it once a day for a swim. There were also three occasions when we heard scratching noises in the roof space, twice at night this consistently woke us up. We had to use a back up parasol at the pool when we arrived which was ripped and mouldy. The parasol we should have been using was locked in Danny’s home and could not be accessed until Danny returned.Very disappointed with the pool situation as this was a major reason for staying.

We had a great stay at La Maison Ocre. The Gite is a good size and has a nice relaxed feel. The views of the vineyard are lovely and we enjoyed seeing Deer, Hares, Woodpeckers and more. The pool is excellent and this helped us to cool off in the hot weather. There were lots of things to do in the area and Bergerac centre was only a short drive away. Danny has created a beautiful holiday villa in a rural location just on the edge of Bergerac in the Dordogne. There is a cohesive design ethic to the property, kitchen with all necessary appliances, and an attractive outdoor table under large shady trees to enjoy meals. Very responsive to messages and requests for help. The infinity pool overlooks rolling countryside. A great base to relax and explore.

Peaceful and very relaxing . A great location with beautiful views over the countryside. Stunning infinity pool next to the property. Our host, Danny, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Being so close to Bergerac meant we could easily access restaurants in the town.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. Amazing saline pool and in a brilliant location, only five minutes or so drive from Bergerac. It was one of the most relaxing holidays we've had - I wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a fantastic time in this wonderful house in peaceful, rural surrounds, which is only only a 5 minute drive into the centre of town. The pool and outdoor area are fantastic for unwinding with the kids, with the added bonus of deer roaming the vineyard. Danny and Evi are fantastic hosts, with plenty of great suggestions for a pleasant stay.

The property is idyllic with stunning views both out over their own vineyard, as well as neighbouring vineyards over the lip of the infinity pool. The farmhouse is a calm retreat where Danny's design credentials shine through. He has created a sanctuary where you can't help but relax and switch off. All the family had a wonderful few weeks in Bergerac, in spite of the mixed weather and felt completely rejuvenated by the time we came to leave. Only slight downside is that there are no shops, patisseries or restaurants within walking distance and so you need to take the car whenever you want to go out.
