La Maison – Spacious Loire Cottage with Heated Pool near Chinon & Azay le Rideau

We stayed in la Maison for 1 week with our three children. We were blow away by how beautiful the area was and the house! It was perfectly clean and we had a very friendly welcome from Bruno who was so helpful throughout our stay with things to do in the local area and even Booked a kayaking trip for us. The pool was lovely, and has the benefit of your sole Use due to it being timetabled. It didn’t cause too much of an issue not being able to go in when you wanted as Bruno was flexible if we had been out for the day and wanted to go in when we got back. Would definitely recommend booking this place if you want a relaxed holiday in a beautiful area of France!

We spent two wonderful weeks in La Belle Etoile—La Maison. The house is stunning: spacious and very well equipped. Bruno was the perfect host. The two times we thought something was lacking ( a fly swatter and a small pan to cook one egg), he went out and bought what was missing. He was also very friendly and stopped by occasionally to check on us. He answered all our questions about the local area. The gite, the setting, and the landlord combined to make this a wonderful holiday. We have been to France many times and have rented numerous gites; this one was clearly the best. We recommend it highly.

A fantastic holiday. La Maison was exceptional, very spacious, well equipped and in a beautiful location. Bruno and Rita made us feel very welcome and did their best to ensure our holiday was what we wanted it to be. We would highly recommend both the area and the house.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la propriété de Ritva et Bruno qui sont des hôtes charmants, attentifs et discrets. La maison bien localisée est tres agréable et très bien équipée, alliant avec goût l'ancien et tout le confort moderne. Très belle piscine avec horaire partagé bien aménagé. Un coup de cœur pour la terrasse bien orientée et qui offre une vue splendide sur la campagne environnante.

The house was happily just as described. The whole experience probably exceeded our expectations. Bruno and Ritva sent us plenty of information about the region prior to our trip and kindly provided us with a selection of local produce on our arrival, including wine, cheese, fresh bread, as well as milk and bottled water. The house was very well stocked with pans and tableware. It was also spotlessly clean with plenty of towels for bathroom and pool. The views from the house and terrace were absolutely beautiful and we very much enjoyed the well maintained pool. There was plenty of space for the children to play in the grounds and there was a selection of bicycles that we could borrow. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to return if we are visiting the area again. Many thanks for a perfect stay.

Ce gîte exceptionnel est idéalement situé à proximité d'un patrimoine des plus riches de France et dans une région viticole et gastronomique impossible à décrire par quelques mots. Proche du Futuroscope pour le plaisir des yeux. Un seul bémol, les difficultés de paiement avec Homeaway !

The welcome from the owners was very warm and they were attentive but never obtrusive. Our four boys loved the 1.2m deep pool and we had unfettered access to it at all times except in the later evening. We would thoroughly recommend this gite. Thank you
