😊: Very comfy and charming property in a nice location just a few steps from the harbour. It’s a lovely town with several lovely beaches nearby and beautiful coastal walks. The main bedroom is a particularly lovely space. The hosts were responsive on messages came out to resolve a small issue on our first evening. 😢: Some of the decor is a little tired but this didn’t really bother us. There are no curtains in the second bedroom which we weren’t using so again not an issue for us..

😊: The house is located in the middle of Camaret, in the Artist District, just 20-30 meters from the ocean and the quayside with its cafes and restaurants. There is a pedestrian way in front of the house, no car traffic, so it is very quiet. The furniture is a bit old, also the kitchen facilities (no dishwasher, no washing machine!) but the whole house has a special flair which fits the artist district and the ocean. It has no garden and also no terrace opposite to the description. The kitchen on the ground floor is maybe a bit dark as mentioned in another review but nothing dramatic. Besides, it would not be a problem to open the front door to get more light, the very few pedestrians will not really disturb you (visited in June). The house has 2 bedrooms with queensize beds, a bathroom, a kitchen and a kind of living room with some table games We arrived by bikes and left them outside, we forgot to lock them one night and in the morning they were still there 😊 The local market needs to be mentioned separately, it starts almost directly in front of your door (twice a week) with lots of local products.. 😢: AFTER the booking we were asked for a refundable deposit which was never the case with any booking before, so I was taken by surprise. I checked the booking afterwards and it was really mentioned somewhere in the middle of a long text, which is easily overlooked. I wish it were properly pointed out prior to the booking. Then (and that's the reason for the bad review) came the links with additional charges. I do not know if this is new since no review mentioned this before. We had to pay extra for cleaning and bedding and would end up with the doubled price for the appartment (booked only a 2-night stay). The extra costs for beddings were indeed mentioned somewhere in description, however, without specifying the exact amount. In fact, the owner can charge you what they want because you already booked the property. As we stayed only 2 nights we decided to do the cleaning ourselves since we were only to sleep in the house. Its cleanliness was very superficial. It rumbled under the bed as I vacuum cleaned there and a big black spider greeted me angrily from the corner, i let him be. Also the covers on both sofas look very used, i do not know when and if ever they were cleaned. We chose not to sit there. The same refers to the carpet floor everywhere except kitchen (which i generally very mistrust). No kids under 6 are welcome, this is so discrimination! I wish i read that before ☹️ There is no parking in front of the house, you also cannot drive to the front door to unload your baggage. The staircase to the bedroom on the 2nd floor is very narrow and steep, could be difficult for older/disabled people.
