😊: Perfect little apartment for 1-2 people. Liked the location, but be mindful that this area of Lyon is above the city core and the old town — so be prepared for walking up and down the stairs quite a bit. The apartment is in a secluded private courtyard that you have access to, is very clean and furnished with what you'd need. Toiletries were also provided, which is rare for apartment rentals. Bed is comfortable and there's a small sofa to relax or watch TV. Marie & Mathilde are great hosts, and their instructions make finding the place and checking in a breeze. The neighborhood is lovely too: there's a few cafes and bars just down the street, a Casino that works late right next to Croix-Rousse subway station just 2 minute walk away, and loads more dine and drink options around there too.. 😢: Aside from the stairs, my only complaint is a lack of a washing machine in the apartment. I've missed it in photos and had to wash laundry by hand — so it would probably not work for someone staying longer than a week. It also does get surprisingly cold at night, for early June when I've stayed — but that may be a blessing for when the summer gets really hot..

😊: The location of the apartment is just perfect.
😊: Good location surrounded by cultural shops and cafes.. 😢: Slight problem with sofa beds comfort and ease to use..
😊: - The bed was nice. - There were no problems with the WIFI. - The communication with the hosts was good.. 😢: - The whole apartment was smelly. We tried hard to improve the situation by opening the windows, but to very limited effect. The bathroom was particularly bad. - It didn’t feel very clean. There was dirt on the edges of the floor and spider webs in multiple corners. When we first entered, there were two big spiders in plain sight. Unfortunately, they didn’t manage to catch all the fruit flies in the bathroom. - The furniture also wasn’t very well maintained, with e.g. the toilette seat having multiple cracks. - At night there were noises like rodents moving over the floor. We couldn’t identify the exact source, but it must have been somewhere directly next to (above?) the room. - From the outside, the building looks almost like it has been abandoned and the corridor leading to the apartment looks like a ruin.
