La Pinay-A cozy little house with spa & fireplace in Dordogne near Rocamadour

My husband and I spent 4 nights in this beautiful cottage. It has been decorated tastefully and to a very high standard. Little touches here and there of hearts and ornaments, also make it homely and romantic. It has everything you need. The towels and linen are of excellent quality. The sofa and bed are comfortable. The kitchen is full of all the utensils you will need and there is an oven. You also have your own outside space, including a stone balcony which offers a stunning view. There are also loungers and a hammock to use. Everything you need and more for a relaxing holiday, in a beautiful environment. Cathy (the owner of this beautiful cottage), was really friendly and warm, which adds to the experience. Cathy was also helpful in recommending places to visit, providing maps and guidebooks. Cathy also (very kindly) left some home made jam In the fridge, which was delicious!!!! You also have use of a pool at Cathy's hotel, which she owns with her husband. The hotel is a 10minute walk away (max). The hotel is also home to a Michelin Star restaurant (Cathy's husband is the chef). We had planned on eating there, but we were so taken with the cottage, we decided to make full use of the balcony and view and eat at the cottage (there is use of a BBQ too). Overall a romantic, enchanting experience.

Charming, peaceful stone cottage built into the rock over 3 floors. The terrace looks across the valley with a stunning view. The owner has decorated the house very tastefully and provided everything you need to cook and eat there. The sofa and bed were comfortable and we absolutely loved it. The only down side was washing faces and brushing teeth in the kitchen sink as the bathroom is tiny and only has a shower and loo. Not really a problem though and the owner is considering extending to build on a new bathroom. There is even a hammock and sunloungers in the garden edged with lavender and you can use the pool in the hotel below.

Our family of three wanted to take a much needed quiet break from the city and this place did not disappoint. The location of this little house is perfect. The stone house is very cute. The view overlooking the hills is gorgeous (It was good having breakfast each morning to the seemingly endless greenery). The beautifully manicured gardens provided much playing time for our (seemingly) tireless toddler. We had access to the hotels swimming pool which is a 4 -6minute walk from the house. Plus, there are plenty of activities to go see / do in the neighboring towns Cathy was a lovely and gracious host. Will probably go back there. It was a weekend well spent.

There are only good things to say about "La Pinay". Cathy is very kind and welcomed us charmly in her amazing cozy little house: she has taken care of every little detail! The house has also a wonderfull garden (ideal for our daugther) with amazing views and it is located in an ideal place with a lot to see. We had an unforgetable stay and we'll try to come back if we can! We absolutely recommend the place,
