La Place du Château - Vue exceptionnelle sur le château de Blois

😊: Nothing at all ! We arrived in heavy rain and unable to drive the car up to the address given. Tourist office said we should have been given key/card to gain access along the Place du Chateau. Finally found apartment building. Door partially open. Dark and dirty hallway. No-one present. Unable to find access to appartment. Bar next door. They xouldn't help us. We had no tel number to contact owner. My husband is 84 with diabetes, heart problems ( incl pacemaker ) and 4 types of cancer. WE we wet, cold and exhausted. We waited and waited. Impossible to contact anyone - including Booking.com. We had NO CHOICE but to abandon our possiblility of accommodation, struggled back to where we had parked our car and faced a 4+ hour drive to OUISTREHAM in Normandie !!!!! We managed to get a comfortable clean room. The next day we received a "welcome message" from the owner of the appartment, hoping we'd had a good time at the appertment !!! Another message the next day !!!! Itried to reply - but e-mail was returned !!!!!! My husband and I have travelled and stayed at many booking.com hotels - with NO PROBLEMS. But this appartment + no possiblility to contact either appt or booking.com when we needed help is an appalling situation !!!!! I am 73 and my husband is 84 - 85 on 19th June. It was a nighrmare and I am appalled that booking.com gave us no way of contacting them by phone in what was an emergency situation.. 😢: WE needed to be able to contact either the owner of the appt or booking.com directly. I wish to receive a full return of the cost of the appartment rental. I feared for my husband's health - esp as we had no way of getting help..
