LA PORTE BLEUE on the Île d'Or opposite the Château d'Amboise

Great location. Easy access to the town and an enchanting view of the chateau.

Our upstairs lodging at La Porte Bleue was so lovely! Chantall, our host went above and beyond to accomodate our needs. We were able to do laundry. She gave us excellent tips on Amboise, and made our stay comfortable and fun. We had full access to a well outfitted kitchen and luxuriated in large beds in spacious rooms. Thwre was plenty of room to visit and eat. We had access to the entire upstair unit of her cute home.The lodging is right across the river from a chateau. The lights from it reflected over the Loire beautifully at night. I cannot speak highly enough about our visit and our host's kindness. The location is VERY close to the quaint part of Amboise and walking distance to a grocery store, and many other shops.

This was such a perfect location with a lovely view of the Château of Amboise. Parking was convenient and close. The best was the host! Chantal couldn’t have been more helpful with everything, including her help to haul our suitcases upstairs! (She insisted even though we could have managed fine.) An excellent stay!

Un très bon séjour, idéalement situé pour visiter Amboise et ses châteaux à pied, prendre un verre en ville ou faire une balade. Nuit calme, très belle vue.

Chantal, die Vermieterin, hat uns bei unserer Ankunft überaus herzlich empfangen. Die Wohnug ist sehr ruhig auf der Ile d`Or gelegen. Sie ist sehr gut eigerichtet und strahlt viel Charme aus. Das Zentrum und das Schloß sind in wenigen Gehminuten fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Darüberhinaus ist Amboise ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um neben dem Schloß von Amboise eine Vielzahl weiterer Schlösser in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung, die Stadt Tours und die herrliche Flußlandschaft der Loire zu entdecken. Es hat uns alles so gut gefallen, dass wir uns vorstellen können, für einen weiteren Urlaub an der Loire die Wohnung von Chantal nochmals zu mieten. Un très grand merci à Chantal

Un appartement à l'étage, conforme aux photos, très agréable, avec une vue sur le château qui ne lasse pas. Un accueil très sympathique et agréable par Chantal. A 5 mn du centre ville d'Amboise qui permet une visite à pieds. Très agréable

Gite agréable, bien tenu, et bien aménagé avec tout le nécessaire pour y passer un bon séjour. Vue imprenable sur le château d'Amboise, telle une carte postale. Propriétaire sympathique et chaleureuse. Bref super séjour. Je conserve l'adresse et la recommande.
