La Porterie Gite de charme Abbaye de Bois-Aubry,Tombe de Yul Brynner ,3HA

We have had an amazing week in the most beautiful historic setting. Mark and Christine made the stay exceptional with their generous hospitality, kindness and warmth. They had so much information to share about the location and property and gave superb advice on places to visit in the local area. The stone built accommodation was lovely and cool in the heat and we enjoyed using the swimming pool. We felt very relaxed and look forward to returning.

Très très bon séjour à l'abbaye de Bois-Aubry. Très agréable de bénéficier d'un gîte de très belle qualité au sein d'un site aussi magnifique. De la piscine, nous apercevons le site historique de l'abbaye... depuis le gîte nous pouvons flâner autour de l'abbaye et découvrir la faune et la flore... Marc et Christine nous ont réservé un excellent accueil et nous ont partagé avec passion les curiosités locales pour nos activités touristiques ainsi qu'une visite historique inoubliable du site. L’Abbaye Saint-Michel is a very special place. It was the first time I ever woke up to the view of a steeple tower from the 12th century and beautiful pink roses spread around the property! The pool was a wonderful way to cool off and their is so much to see and do within 1.5 hours from the abbey. The hosts were so kind. We had one night where we sat at the picnic table with the hosts and the French family, who had rented the other gîte on the property, until the wee hours of the morning chatting about many things in both English and French. We had a 4-wheel drive in the area on their WWII jeeps, enjoyed their Belgium fries and generally their warmness. What a wonderful way to explore the Loire Valley!

Nous avons choisi ce gite pour sa taille (5 personnes) et son emplacement très central pour visiter la région des châteaux de la Loire. Nous y avons découvert un site fabuleux (ancienne abbaye du 12e siècle) et des hôtes formidables, passionnés et vraiment très sympathiques. Nous avons déjà envie d'y retourner.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts! The restoration of the gite was done with a great sense for history and tradition creating an inspiring and cosy atmosphere. Pretty private back yard to relaxe in a wooden two-person-swing looking at the impressive Abbey tower. We were given a fantastic tour of the Abbey by a passionate host - his enthusiasm is contagious and naturally affected us as well. The entire Abbey site is just beautifully done and full of historical but also many enchanting places. The pool is a dream to the adults and the kids. Our kids were thrilled by the adventurous Marc taking them on a Jeep ride! The local area offers plenty of fabulous places in the Loire Valley to see - you could stay for more than four weeks and wouldn't get bored! We had a great time - Thanks!

Cadre calme, bucolique et reposant dans une région riche d'histoire. Gîte très agréable et fonctionnel dans un cadre atypique. Hôtes accueillants, chaleureux et érudits. Un grand merci à Marc, Christine et Igor!
